BECON-TV (WBEC-TV), part of BECON, the Broward Education Communications Network, is owned and operated by the School Board of Broward County and is a broadcast television station licensed by the FCC to provide non-commercial educational programming to the South Florida community. BECON-TV programming airs throughout Broward, Miami/Dade and Palm Beach Counties over the air on digital channel 63.1 and on cable channel 19.

BECON-TV is also available on DirecTV, DISH and AT&T U-Verse on channel 63.

BECON-TV’s vision is to provide unique programming for our diverse community to enhance quality of life and promote education and knowledge as a valuable asset to individuals, impacting their personal success and lifelong learning. The ultimate goal is to be the number one choice of Broward County viewers for educational programming.

School Board of Broward County Meetings air on BECON-TV every other Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. and are re-broadcast on Thursdays at 10:00 p.m
