WETZEL'S WORDS 11/5/16 (recap Cardinal Gibbons vs Deerfield Beach)

Chris Robles - Monday, November 14, 2016

Player of the game definitely has to be Cardinal Gibbons corner back # 23 Ronald Harge. Two interceptions for the junior defensive back including one late in the fourth quarter while Deerfield Beach was driving and in the red zone.

Deerfield Beach WR corps Jerry Jeudy, Leroy Henley, Cornelius McCoy and Daewood Davis are prime examples of why division one colleges come to South Florida to recruit wide receivers. 4 Big Time D1 WRs

Deerfield beach linebacker # 42 Rosendo Louis at 6 foot three 225 pounds is as impressive an athlete as I've ever seen. He is a tremendously physical athlete that also has the ability to play very well in wide-open spaces. Above average closing speed and very aggressive attacking downhill.

Not only am I impressed with first year head coaches Javon Glenn from Deerfield Beach and Matt Dubuc from Cardinal Gibbons but I also applaud the principles from both schools for recognizing they had quality assistant coaches from inside the program to minimize any growing pains during the transition to new head-coaching regimes.

Unheralded back up quarterback for Deerfield Beach # 14 Alec brown is very underrated. He could easily be a diamond in the rough for a college team looking for a poised signal caller.

Very impressed with the entire Cardinal Gibbons football program. They Took advantage of every opportunity and when back ups came in they looked very comfortable vs a formidable Deerfield Beach opponent.

Sophomore Shoutout #72 DE for Cardinal Gibbons Chris Bogel was in the backfield all night long versus Deerfield Beach.

Fabulous Freshman # 24 Jaylan Knighton of Deerfield Beach shows that the running game for the Bucks will be very successful for years to come.

Jr kicker for Cardinal Gibbons Griffin Cerra is definitely on the path to kicking on Saturdays and maybe more following in the footsteps of former Georgia Bulldog and current Minnesota Viking Blair Walsh.      FOLLOW US ON TWITTER (twitter.com/SportsBlitz1)
