Putting Geometry on the Map

Putting Geometry on the Map, a twelve-program innovative series designed to introduce basic geometric concepts to students grade 3-6, and to model appropriate teaching techniques. This series has been designed to raise student achievement test scores on statewide assessments. A teacher guide accompanies this series. A Scope and Sequence of Skills, Follow Up Activities, Glossary, Terms & Symbols, Map, and a Reading List are some of the building blocks of the teacher guide. The Follow Up Activities section of the guide recommends activities appropriate to the varying levels of student expertise, while offering teachers the ability to assess their students’ acquired knowledge.
